NEW MEMBERS HUI - Term 1, 2021
RĀPARE 25 Ō POUTŪ-TE-RANGI
Nau mai, haere mai ki ngā kaimahi hou.
New members of our Kāhui Ako met at Tauranga Boys' College to learn more about who we are and the mahi that we do in the Tauranga Peninsula Kāhui Ako. It was great to see new SLs, ASLs and WSLs connect with others and discuss the different roles that we have within our kura and what it means to be part of the TP Kāhui Ako.
The kaimahi hou were asked to buddy up with someone and complete a 'Kōrero Session' form - the information collected from these forms will be used to create an individual profile on our TPKA website. This will enable others, including the wider community to know more about who we are 'Ko wai tātou?'.
Please email your completed 'Kōrero Session' form to Michelle Ormsby (m.ormsby@tbs.school.nz)
ECE/JUNIOR KAIAKO HUI - Term 1, 2021
RĀAPA 24 Ō POUTŪ-TE-RANGI
A group of ECE staff and Junior kaiako (NE - Y2) met at Merivale School to discuss ways to work together to enhance learning experiences for our tamariki and mokopuna. This hui provided an opportunity to whakawhanaungatanga (make connections across the sectors), discuss how we intend to bring our Kāhui Ako vision to life and ways to mahitahi (work together) to achieve our Progress Aspirations for 2021 - 2023.
An outcome from this hui is to invite members of our Kāhui Ako to join the ECE/Junior Kaiako Komiti (previously known as the ECE Steering Committee). The komiti will drive the mahi that occurs in this space - they will be the voice of the various kura and ECE centres that we have in our Kāhui Ako.
We are planning to have our first ECE/Junior Kaiako Komiti Hui on Wednesday 7th April from 4.30pm - 5.30pm at Merivale School.
Does this sound like a kaupapa that you would like to be involved with?
If so, please let your ASL know or email Maria Veronese (mariav@tauranga-int.school.nz), Shirralee Hohaia (shirralee@merivale.school.nz), or Sheree Bos (sheree.bos@best-start.org)
